SLEEPS 6
This hidden gem takes its name from the crop once grown in the surrounding fields. Found at the end of its private drive, it offers unique peace and tranquillity. There is a sheltered and completely enclosed garden, ideal for bird watching, alfresco dining and wonderful for children. Madderhay is surrounded by undisturbed wildlife, including kingfishers, and is close to one of the few reed beds left in Cornwall and a protected area for butterflies.
This attractive property is perfect for family holidays. A bright and cosy kitchen welcomes you, with its large dining table and log burner. A sunny living room with open fire, the bathroom and a double bedroom are all at ground floor level. A double bedroom with ensuite electric shower, toilet and basin plus a twin bedroom are situated on the first floor, both with lovely views across the fields to the river Fowey. The Fowey valley was the inspiration behind ‘The Wind in the Willows’.
